1. Christmas and New Years' Eve 2009

I would like to thank everyone who shared their Christmas and partied on New Years' Eve with us; and also for all your kindest comments about our special Christmas Lunch. 3. Special Event - Melbourne Foodie Experimentators, Monday, February 1, 2010, 7pm.

A new regular degustation event at Le Bistro! - Welcome to the world of Food Experimentation! Get together over a seven course degustation menu prepared especially for the occasion. All recipes will be created by Chez Olivier's Chefs for the occasion to be tasted, debated, evaluated, critiqued, and... ENJOYED, of course! A "Frozzie" Experience
My chefs and I are organising a very special event on Austalia Day, Tuesday, January 26, 2010. We will introduce (and finally explain...) the "Frozzie" concept, which is very special to my gourmet philosophy: French cuisine + Aussie produce = "Frozzie" experience. It will be the night of French food with a contemporary Aussie twist - a five-course feast matched with alternating French and Australian wines. We are still working out the details, but a number of our regular foodies have already put their names down for this event. So, to register your interest, don't hesitate to call me on 0438 357 099.

5. Rencontre Autour d'un Verre

Every Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:00 @ Le Bistro in Prahran from February 2, 2010
I will personally host Rencontre autour d'un Verre from February 2010 - "L'objectif est de ne parler que francais pendant une heure et plus..." If you want to de-rust your French, practice a little, or simply enjoy the conviviality of a small group of Francophiles having light dinner and wine dans la langue de Moliere, call me from late January to sign up for our weekly gatherings on 0438 357 099.

8. Restaurant News - Online Boutique Coming Soon

It is something I always wanted to do for a long time, and following one of my many New Year's resolutions, I am finally doing something about it! The initial idea is to offer you a selection Chez Olivier brand kitchen wear, souvenirs, glasses, and limited edition plates; and a produce section with a selection of spices, sauces, and marinades with our chefs' secret recipes. However, as always - I am open to your suggestions and recommendations as to what you would like to see offered in our Boutique.

First of all, I would like to thank all our regular and new diners for your invaluable comments about our restaurant, food, and service. Let me reassure you that your feedback is invaluable to me! As we are gearing up to our 5th Birthday Celebration in October 2010, I am working to implement a blogging page soon, so that our interraction can be more regular and insightful.
